Strawberry Farm and Upside Down House Day Trip
N$ 2,500 PER PERSON
Route: Windhoek, EdenBerry Strawberry Farm, Upside Down House, Windhoek
Sixty kilometres out of Windhoek on the Rehoboth road there is a strawberry farm, which in a country this dry is worth the drive on its own. EdenBerry grows them under shade cloth and lets visitors pick their own.
In July 2023 the farm opened Namibia's first Upside Down House. The building stands on its roof, the furniture is fixed to the ceiling, and every photograph taken inside it looks wrong in a way people enjoy. It has become the reason most guests come.
How the day runs
| Morning | Pick up in Windhoek and an hour on the B1 south, past Heroes Acre and out into the farmland. |
| On the farm | Strawberry picking in the tunnels. What you pick you keep, and it is the only place in the country where you can do it. |
| Upside Down House | Groups go through ten at a time and the walk through takes twenty to thirty minutes. Take your time with the photographs, because that is the whole point of the place. |
| Midday | A picnic on the farm. There is space to sit and the children have room to run. |
| Afternoon | Back to Windhoek. The farm closes at 14:00, so this is an early day rather than a late one. |
This is the usual shape of the day. Exact timings are set with you when you book, and we will work around a flight if you have one.
